In my works, I am interested in exploring the way in which ordinary elements from everyday life relate to personal and collective memory. I work with drawings, photographs, objects, and text, welcoming the associations they create together. I like to work with fragments, assembling and disassembling components with an emphasis on empty space. Absence, reduction, and erasure are essential to my thinking and working process.

Born in Izmir, I studied Sociology at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul and Fine Arts at Universität der Künste Berlin. Next to my artistic practice, I have been working in different fields outside of art.
